[A] woman has appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply to others.
Victoria Louise Blair of Borland Avenue, Botcherby, Carlisle appeared at Carlisle Magistrates court from custody flanked by security officers.
She spoke only to confirm her personal details and pleaded not-guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled Class C drug, Alprazolam [a form of tranquiliser].
District Judge Gerald Chalk said he declined jurisdiction in this case, Miss Blair was remanded in custody to appear at Crown Court on December 22.
The arrest took place after reports of an incident on Friday 17, after emergency services and police officers went to an address on Borland Avenue, shortly after 6.30pm when 34-year-old Kevin Slater was found outside a property and was declared dead at the scene.
