[P]olice are investigating an incident where a dog was dangerously out of control and bit a member of the public.
The incident occurred between 2pm and 4pm, on Sunday, 3rd December, in the Sand Dunes area, near to the National Trust car park at Roan Head, South Lakes.
A local, teenage boy, received a bite to the ear that required medical attention.
The dog is described as a medium-sized, black and white ‘Staffy type’. It did not have a collar on, and did not appear to be with anyone.
