[W]indermere Lake Cruises has been shortlisted in the UK Inbound Awards for Excellence, recognising its contribution to growing the number of international visitors heading to the UK.
Cumbria’s most popular visitor attraction is one of only two nominees battling it out in a brand-new category: ‘Regional Member of the Year’ and will face large-scale tour operator Cashel Travel for the title.
The finalists have been chosen by an independent panel spanning the country’s tourism sector, with members of UK Inbound voting to select the ultimate winners between now and 12 January 2018.
Windermere Lake Cruises will then find out if it’s adding another trophy to the cabinet at a black-tie gala dinner in February, as part of UK Inbound’s Annual Convention.
Sales and Marketing Director for Windermere Lake Cruises, Jennifer Cormack, says, “We’ve been working with UKinbound for the past three years and this nomination in the ‘member’ category is particularly important to us because it’s all about partnerships.
“Working together with other businesses, we want to promote not only our attraction, but the whole of the region, its attractions and accommodation providers. It is vital we use this collective approach to generate interest from overseas visitors and maxmise the increased international profile the newly designated World Heritage status has given us.”
UK Inbound’s annual three-day convention takes place in Cardiff between 7th and 9th February 2018.
