[C]umbria Police was called at around 4.20am today, Thursday 18 January to a report of an assault at an address in Milbourne Street in Carlisle.
Officers attended and arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of assault GBH.
He is currently in police custody.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “A man at the address had suffered cuts to his head, suspected of having been caused by a blunt instrument.
“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or altering and he is in a stable condition.
“Officers would like to hear from anyone with information about this incident. If you can help, contact police referencing incident 32 of 18 January 2018.”
