[A]t 1:09pm today, Friday 19 January firefighters were called to a chip pan fire in a house on Crossfield Road, Whitehaven.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control.
“One casualty was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
“Crews were at the scene for 70 minutes.”
