[A] MAN accused of indecently assaulting a girl in the Lake District during the 1980s is to go on trial later this year.
Douglas Brian Edmund Pullen, 67, faced three allegations when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.
During a short hearing before Judge Barbara Forrester today (MON), Pullen pleaded not guilty three charges.
Each of these alleges that he indecently assaulted a girl aged under 16 during a four-month period in the the mid-1980s.
One of the alleged assaults is said to have occurred in the Windermere area, and the other two are said to have taken place in Kent.
A case timetable was agreed by the respective lawyers in the case.
Pullen, of Newdigate Street, Kimberley, Nottingham, was told that his trial, which is due to last three to four days, is due to start at the crown court on June 25.
In the meantime, he was granted unconditional bail by Judge Forrester.
