[T]he Kendal branch of a philanthropic Cumbrian firm of solicitors, financial advisors and estate agents are celebrating 20, successful years in the business this year.
Poole Townsend, opened its Kendal branch in January 1998, and have supported many local clients with property, legal and financial advice ever since.
Several members of the team, who started with the company when the Kendal branch opened also celebrate 20 years with the business this month, Nicola Mason, Business Development Manager said, “Poole Townsend are like an extended family to me. In the 20 years I have worked for the Company no two days have been the same, making it an interesting and dynamic place to work. I particularly like the variety of the day to day tasks, client/customer contact and camaraderie of teamwork. The flexible operations of the organisation have allowed me to fulfil my career and personal objectives whilst raising a family.
The challenges and opportunities within my roles in the Company have let me progress and I’m very happy working for Poole Townsend – it honestly doesn’t feel like 20 years”.
Lyn Liness, Mortgage and Equity Release Specialist at Poole Townsend has also been with the company since it’s opening and said, “I have arranged thousands of mortgages in my time here and have many clients who have returned to me time and time again. Having come from a Building society where I only had access to one set of products/lending criteria, I can vouch for the benefits of being a whole of market adviser.”
The company recently celebrated outstanding results across their property departments, selling more properties in their area than any other agent, placing them 1st out of 56 agents.
Angela Cornthwaite, Head of the Property department said, “I started my Poole Townsend career as a Sales Negotiator back in 1998 and over the last 20 years I have been privileged to work across our whole network of branches helping thousands of buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants. Whenever I am in the Kendal office clients pop in who I remember from 20 years ago which is lovely. Poole Townsend have always been a company who rate client service highly and I am proud to be in the position now, As Head of Property where I can be instrumental in ensuring that we still offer our clients the product and service they demand in these changing times.”
