Workington in Bloom – Funding available

[G]rants of up to £500 are available for community gardening or environmental projects in Workington.

The fund has been made available by Workington Town Council in support of the ‘Workington in Bloom’ project. Workington in Bloom aims to make the town brighter and more environmentally-friendly by planting and improving floral displays, encouraging biodiversity, and supporting environmentally-friendly projects.

The fund has been running for a number of years and has been allocated to schools, community groups, and youth clubs. Previous projects funded by the scheme have included the flowerbed boats at Bellaport Marina in Harrington, ‘bee-friendly’ planting at Beckstone School, and new planters for Salterbeck Residents Association.

To apply, or for more information about the funding, contact Amy Johnson at Workington Town Council: 01900 702986 or [email protected]
