[C]arlisle based Explosive Productions Ltd have announced that they have secured a long term contract as the exclusive resident entertainment provider for Saga’s new cruise ships.
Last March Saga Cruises announced its plans to expand its fleet with ‘Spirit of Discovery’ setting sail in summer 2019 followed by a more recent announcement last September welcoming sister ship ‘Spirit of Adventure’ which will launch in the Summer of 2020.
Both ships will be built by the renowned Meyer Werft shipyard – a recognised leader in cruise ship construction, the ships will be similar in external design, carrying less than 1,000 passengers, balconies for all cabins and retaining the intimacy and personal touches Saga are renowned for.
Another exciting first for Saga is that both ships will have its very own theatre, “The Playhouse” will seat 400 guests in a spectacular raked auditorium. While many of the new entertainment concepts are being kept under wraps, Explosive Productions Ltd can confirm that they will be supplying the production cast, resident musicians, specialist performers and various entertainment based crew on board and will provide a modern calibre of entertainment and creative variety, coupled with cutting edge sound, lighting and audio visual technologies.
