[W]yeknot Donkey, Lucy, donned her Easter bonnet for a visit to the residents of Greenlane Care Home, Brampton today.
She was joined by a lamb kindly loaned by Mr. W. and Mr. J. Laird of Unity Farm.
They were distributing chicks knitted by 87 year old Mary Brant, along with Easter eggs to the residents of Greenlane.
Many of the residents recalled riding donkeys at Silloth and at Morecombe and some, being of farming stock, reminisced about donkeys they had owned in the past.
Lucy and her lamb side-kick, along with visiting rabbits and chicks enjoyed lots of cuddles and basking in the central heating on a chilly Spring day.
