Police appeal after man seen “kicking” dog in Carlisle

Police want to speak to this man

[P]OLICE are investigating a report of animal cruelty and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

The incident occurred at around 5pm on Wednesday 4 April 2018 in Spencer Street in Carlisle.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A man was witnessed by a passing motorist to be mistreating, including kicking, a small white dog which appeared to belong to him.

“The dog was a small white cocker spaniel-type puppy which had brown ears.

“Officers are keen to speak with any witnesses and have released an image of a man they would like to trace in connection with the incident.”

Anyone who witnessed what took place or who can help with identifying the man pictured is asked to contact police referencing incident 207 of 4 April 2018.
