[P]OLICE have received a number of reports of thieves targeting works vans to steal tools.
The incidents have been reported in and around the city.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Officers are urging owners of such vehicles to not only make sure they are locked securely but to take the extra precaution of removing all tools and anything of value from inside each evening.
“Anyone with information about thieves targeting such vehicles or acting suspiciously is urged to contact police.”
