Firefighters were called to a major Barrow blaze last night.
Emergency services were called to domestic garages at Salthouse Mills Industrial Estate yesterday at around 6.50pm.
A number of fire engines attended and were expected to remain at the scene for some time.
There were no reported casualties.
People were asked to avoid the area and not attend the scene.
Residents living nearby were also also advised to keep their windows closed as a precaution.
