[F]ollowing a new line of enquiry police are appealing for a witness as they investigate the report of a serious sexual assault.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday 6th May 2018. The assault occurred after 3am, near Highgate, Kendal.
Police are looking to trace a potential witness who aided the victim at around 4:25am at the bottom of Gillingate.
The witness is described as a white male, 18-20 years, 5’5”-5’6”, slim build, short brown hair and dark clothing.
