[A]t 3:14am today, Saturday 9 June firefighters were called to a flat on fire in Wellington Street, Millom.
Three fire engines from Millom, Broughton and Bootle attended the fire, which involved a first floor flat.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used four breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet, a main jet, thermal imaging camera and breaking in tools to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was rescued by firefighters, administered oxygen therapy and then passed to the care of paramedics.
“Crews were in attendance for three hours and 15 minutes.”
