Whitehaven forward Connor Holliday is having a scan on a troublesome knee injury today.
The former Kells amateur has been missing from the Whitehaven line-up and coach Jonty Gorley is hoping the problem can be sorted after the scan.
Lucas Castle is the other notable absentee as he recovers from damage to both shoulders.
Consequently Gorley goes with an unchanged squad for the trip to York City Knights, one of four teams below them in the Championship table.
Gorley said: “We did the double over York last season and I wouldn’t be surprised of Hendo (coach Andrew Henderson) uses that as a motivation for them. Certainly I think they are a better team than their league position indicates.
“I was much happier with our performance against Featherstone last week. We had the chances to beat them and that was a big step up on how we were against them last season.
“Since the poor performance against Batley we have shown improvement against Toulouse and more against Fev so we are getting towards where we should be. “
The Whitehaven squad is: Ross Ainley, Brett Bailey, Jake Carter, Lucas Castle, Rio Corkill, Jamie Doran, Oscar Doran, Will Evans, Edene Gebbie, Guy Graham, Lachlan Hanneghan, Dan Hindmarsh, Ryan King, Jake Maizen, Owen McCarron, James Newton, Joey Romeo, Perry Singleton, Curtis Teare, Huw Worthington.
