[F]it for Life is the name of an event taking place on Wednesday 18th July from 1-4pm at Burton Memorial Hall organised by Age UK South Lakeland.
There will be talks and demonstrations throughout the afternoon on Mindful Meditation, Benefits Advice and the Ronnie Gardiner multi-sensory exercise class method .This exercise method is particularly beneficial for those who have diseases and injuries of the brain and central nervous system such as Parkinson’s Disease, MS and Stroke patients.
Digital Champions will be on hand to show the benefits of being on line with a special area set up with tablets, and there will be advice on hearing loss and falls prevention. The physiotherapy team from Westmorland General will be there also to offer functional fitness tests .Refreshments and homemade cakes will be available throughout the afternoon.
