Samantha Gargett has been announced as a winner at the prestigious North West Enterprise Vision Awards for her role as Director in Cumbrian based family business, Elton Finance.

The Enterprise Vision Awards sponsored by NatWest are one of the largest awards ceremonies outside London dedicated to the success and achievements of businesswomen. High profile guests from both the public and private sectors attend and each year thousands more entrants compete for the EVA titles.

When the shortlists were confirmed, ladies had to give a presentation in front of a trio of expert judges followed by a 15-minute question and answer session at The Village Hotel, Blackpool. An adjudicator was also present throughout the whole judging process. Following the judging stages, the public were asked to cast their vote and when the judges’ scores were either tied or within a margin of two percent, the public votes were added to decide the winner.

Samantha became one of 6 finalists and was invited to a prestigious ceremony held at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool on Friday 28th September. Samantha said, “It was fantastic to be part of this year’s awards as Cumbria was so well represented across the 16 categories, so it made it all the more special to attend with such a successful group of businesswomen from our region” Along with Samantha other winners from Cumbria were Alison Magee-Barker, AJ Lakes Consultancy, Amy Onyango and Claire Mansfield, Felltarn Friends, Jules Natlacen, The Churchmouse Barbon.

Samantha is about to officially celebrate the launch of her own business, Samantha Gargett Consultancy Ltd, the first division of which will trade under the name Elton Business Support as she intends to ensure her family business name continues as she expands into new areas.

Winners will now attend a VIP party along with the EVA team, Judges and sponsors to celebrate their success.
