Local butchers Cranstons raised an incredible £3789 during the festive season for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland through shopping events, donations from Christmas pudding sales and shop collections.
Cranstons has supported the charity for a number of years with the yearly festive drive and various challenges and sales donations throughout.
They hosted Christmas shopping evenings at Orton Grange and our Cumbrian Food Hall raising £3,251 and our stall at the Brampton Light’s Switch on raised £157! 50p from every sale of our Christmas Puddings was donated to Hospice at Home, totalling £381.
Caroline Dinham, Cumbrian Food Hall Manager, said: “We are delighted with the total raised for such a wonderful charity. I’d like to thank our customers and suppliers for their continuous support and for their generosity. We really enjoy our shopping nights at both our flagship food hall and at Orton Grange and it’s so good to see that they are well received.”
Lady Elizabeth Leeming, Trustee of the Charity said: “Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland has benefited greatly from the support of Cranstons, starting from the Charity’s earliest days with dedicated support from the Late Mrs Bunty Cranston.
“I have attended several of the Christmas Festive Events at the Cumbrian Food Hall over the years. There is always a great buzz! These events, along with those at Orton Grange and Brampton Food Hall, get everyone into the Christmas spirit while enjoying Cranstons’ great products and at the same time raising enormous and significant funds for this local Charity that touches the lives of so many families.”
