
A MAN who denies an alleged assault in the centre of Carlisle is to stand trial at the city’s crown court later this year.
Twenty-year-old Sam Feddon faces one charge arising out of an incident on January 7 last year.
This alleges that he assaulted Alan Clarke, causing him actual bodily harm.
At Carlisle Crown Court today (WED, during a hearing in front of Judge Nicholas Barker, Feddon pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
His case was listed for a trial. This is expected to start at the crown court on May 13. It is estimated the the trial in front of a jury will last around three days.
In the meantime, Feddon, of Broomfallen Road, Scotby, near Carlisle, was granted unconditional bail by Judge Barker.
