Carlisle City Council Bank Holiday weekend information

Information about Carlisle City Council services over the Easter period is as follows:

Civic Centre

The Civic Centre will close to the public at 5pm on Thursday 18 April and will reopen on Tuesday 23 April. You can access our online services at www.carlisle.gov.uk

Easter Refuse and Recycling Collections

There will be some changes to the days you need to put out your refuse (wheeled bins or reusable gull-proof sacks) and kerbside recycling over Easter.

Please refer to your refuse and recycling calendar to check your collection date.

Usual refuse and recycling date and Easter collection date:

  • Friday 19 April – As normal
  • Monday 22 April – Collecting Tuesday 23 April
  • Tuesday 23 April – Collecting Wednesday 24 April
  • Wednesday 24 April – Collecting Thursday 25 April
  • Thursday 25 April – Collecting Friday 26 April
  • Friday 26 April – Collecting Saturday 27 April

Collections return to normal from Monday 29 April onwards.
