Man, 80, dies in Wigtown A714 crash

A man has died after a road traffic collision occurred on the A714.

Around 3.20pm on Thursday 9 May 2019 a one-vehicle collision occurred on the A714 near to the entrance to Drove Park, Wigtown.

The collision involved a black coloured Honda Jazz car.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “An 80-year-old man, the sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

“Enquiries into the cause of the collision are ongoing.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death and the Procurator Fiscal has been informed.”
