Police are investigating a road traffic collision which occurred on the A590 at the Brettargh Holt Roundabout.
Police were called at 5:08pm on Saturday 11 May.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 64-year-old rider of a Honda motorcycle from Barrow was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries.
“The driver of a Renault Kadjar, a 55-year-old man from Lindale was also involved and is helping police with their enquiries.”
