Blood Sweat & Reays – Halloween Ball Invitation

Local, award winning, family business Reays are holding a unique charity ball that promises a Halloween thriller of a night with spooktacular entertainment, to raise funds for Blood Bikes Cumbria.

The team at Reays hope to raise more than £15,000 this year for the charity, with the ball being their finale event. Blood Bikes Cumbria was originally established by local volunteers as a medical courier service to deliver essential blood and urgent medical supplies across Cumbria. Funding comes entirely from charitable donations and the service is provided solely by volunteers, giving their own free time to help others.

Kerrie Allison, Head of Sales and Marketing at Reays said: “As a local, family run business, Reays recognises the importance of supporting the local community in which we live and work. As NHS budgets are continually stretched and as remote and rural as our region is, Blood Bikes Cumbria is saving our hospitals thousands of pounds which can then be spent on other vital service areas, more importantly they’re saving lives and I am proud to be hosting our Charity Ball where we will hopefully raise lots of money for a fantastic cause. I would like to thank local businesses and professionals for their support so far in organising what is set to be an amazing event.”

The thriller of a night will feature a drinks reception, three course meal, a charity auction and raffle and entertainment from Explosive Productions. The evening has been organised in association with Arriva Bus and Coach, a Partner for UK bus and coach operators offering complete bus and coaches vehicle support for sale, rental, service and parts. More locally Ast Signs, Ian Ward Plant Hire and Slaters hair, beauty, make up and tanning salon have all supported the event as ‘Associate Sponsors’ and encouragingly other table bookings are coming in thick and fast.

Andrew Cullen, Managing Director of Arriva Bus and Coach said: “We are extremely proud to be supporting this event in association with Reays. It promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment raising money for Blood Bikes Cumbria – a precious charity that is helping to save lives across the region each and every day. Reays have been a proud partner of Arriva Bus and Coach for many years and we share the belief that a business is only as strong as the community in which we serve. Thank you to everyone who is supporting the Blood, Sweat and Reays charity ball and I look forward to seeing you there.”
