A Cumbrian husband and wife team set up a new 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ kennel and cattery business in the Eden area. The first business to be awarded the top rating for cats and dogs in the Eden area by the council.

Dave Allison, his wife Penny, with support from her sister Vicky, have recently launched Allison’s Kennel and Cattery, which provides accommodation for up to 32 dogs and 20 cats. The emphasis is to ensure your pets have the best environment and stimulation whilst you are at work or on holiday.

One of the individually designed cat pens

The kennels and Cattery business is located just off the A66 at Bolton near Appleby-in-Westmorland, the couple has been able to invest in new state-of-the-art facilities at their home located in twenty one acres of the beautiful Eden Valley countryside. The business aims to provide the highest standard of care and peace of mind for owners, not only for boarders, for those in Doggy Daycare too.

The dog area is fully heated

Owner and manager, Penny Allison, said: “It’s been a long term ambition for us to be able to offer and provide first class accommodation for dogs and cats while their owners are away or at work.  It’s important to us to offer a home-from-home environment where animals will be well cared for, as well as having plenty of space to exercise, have fun and enjoy the countryside.  We have just welcomed our first furry friends and we would encourage anyone who is interested to come and meet us and see first-hand the facilities we have on offer.”

Allison’s Kennel and Cattery has been given a 5 star rating under the new licensing regulations that came into force on 1st October 2018. The firm prides itself on offering luxury accommodation, full insurance for all clients animals, four dog walks a day, 24 hour veterinary support from Paragon veterinary group if required, also regular updates will be sent to the owners to detail their loved ones adventures throughout their stay.
