A MAN accused of trying to rape a woman at an Ullswater camp site is to stand trial later this year.
Jack Gerald Taylor, 21, faces three charges which arise out of alleged incidents involving the female in August last year.
One charge alleges attempted rape, a second alleges sexual assault and the third alleges a separate sexual offence.
Taylor appeared at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today (FRI), and pleaded not guilty to all three charges that he faces during a short hearing in front of Judge James Adkin.
A trial in front of a jury – which, it is estimated, will last three days – is due to start at the crown court on November 25.
In the meantime Taylor, of Durham Road, Leadgate, Consett, County Durham, was granted conditional bail by Judge Adkin.
