A MAN facing a string of Carlisle rape allegations will go on trial later this year.
Daniel Blair, 45, pleaded not guilty to a number of charges arising out of alleged modern day incidents when he appeared at the city’s crown court earlier today (WED).
Five of these allege the rape of a woman and one alleges that he sexually assaulted her.
One charge alleges an actual bodily harm assault on the same complainant, while two other charges allege that Blair assaulted two different females.
Blair is due to stand trial at the crown court, with a hearing estimated to last around five days set to start on December 16.
In the meantime Blair, of Hawthorn Street, Sunderland, was granted conditional bail by Judge Simon Medland QC.
