Harrington Village Green Celebration Day is on Sunday 25th August at Harrington harbourside from 10am to 4pm.

The event has been organised by local volunteers Hilary Harrington and Herbert Briggs. They have organised the event to celebrate the village green status that has recently been granted for the field adjacent to the harbour.

Entertainment will include live music by local favourites such as Annemarie Jackson, Caitlin Swanston, Logan Murphy and Workington Town Band. A local market will feature craft and gift stalls, hot food, sweets and treats, and a small bar area. The main entertainment for the day will be aimed at children and their families and will include a fun fair, crafts, archery, and pet encounters.

The organisers of the event are also keen to celebrate the hard work of the communities’ emergency services. Representatives from the Fire Service, Police, Police dogs, Coastguard, RNLI, and Blood Bikes will be present throughout the event.

Harrington Village Green Celebration Day has been supported by Workington Town Council and funded by Allerdale Borough Council.
