Cumbria Storage Solutions has unveiled a new self storage facility in Wigton for businesses and individuals.

33 easy-access storage units have been installed within a former railway building at Station Yard Business Park, adjacent to the A596 bypass and within a short walking distance of Wigton train station and town centre.

Richard and Sarah Miler

Carlisle couple Richard and Sarah Miller launched the new business in August. Richard grew up in Wigton and is a Partner at Burnetts Solicitors. He said, “We are delighted to open our first self storage facility in Cumbria and aim to help a broad range of customers with their storage needs.

Whether they are moving home, a small business that needs premises to work from or a homeowner that has run out of space, we offer a range of units that cater for their requirements. As well as giving Wigton its first central storage facility, the convenient location just off the bypass means that we are ideally placed to support those who require storage in the surrounding areas.

Sarah Miller, the founder of a Wedding and Events business which launched this year, added: “Our building is located within a secure compound and offers a safe space for our customers to hold their goods. We are one of the only storage businesses in Cumbria allowing access 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Following the success of our launch in Wigton, we’re looking at options in two other locations in Cumbria: so watch this space!.”

The design and installation of the storage units was managed by market leading specialists, Active Supply & Design who are based in Crewe. The result is a modern and secure facility providing 24-hour access to its customers. With flexible short-term arrangements being accommodated and 4 sizes of unit available ranging from 25 square feet up to 100 square feet, customers can enjoy use of extra space for less than £9 per week.
