Over a decade ago Steve Fairhurst from Carlisle left his job as a panel beater with Lloyd Motors to create a new life for himself and his girlfriend Victoria in Mackay in Queensland, Australia.

Just over 6 weeks ago he came back to set up his new business, Black Magic Car Detailing and became the first tenant on Kingmoor Park’s N&R development, a multi million-pound project consisting of 19 new units aimed at new business start ups.

Steve’s new business occupies 2,000sqft of the N and R Development on Kingmoor Park Central. Black Magic Car Detailing offers a range of detailing packages using only high-quality products from a mini detail, to full interior and exterior detailing. The company are also Carlisle’s only applicator for Ceramic Pro, one of the world’s leading providers of ceramic protection coating for cars.

Commenting on his return Steve said: “I always wanted to experience the Australian lifestyle. When I first arrived, I drove a dump truck for a local mining company and it was hard work, one month on one month off. I set up and ran my own car business in my months off. Victoria and I are now married and have children and missed our family and friends back in Carlisle more and more. When I spoke to my friends about coming back and setting up a business they all said Kingmoor Park is the place to be so I started the negotiations whilst over there and everything has gone extremely smoothly and I am delighted that Black Magic will be open for business from Monday 23rd September”.

Neil McIntyre, Kingmoor Park’s Managing Director said: “We are delighted to welcome Black Magic to Kingmoor Park as the first occupier of these new units. This new business is a perfect example of why we wanted to build these 19 units to accommodate growth and encourage entrepreneurs like Steve to take advantage of the benefits of locating on the Enterprise Zone.

“We would like to wish Steve and Victoria every success as they launch their new venture in Carlisle.”

These new units, which have been funded by Kingmoor Park Properties Ltd and European Regional Development Funding are situated on Kingmoor Park Central, meaning occupiers have access to Enterprise Zone benefits as well as excellent transport links to the A689 (W) and M6 motorway.

BLACK MAGIC OPEN DAY – 21st SEPTEMBER 2019, UNIT R4, KINGMOOR PARK, CA6 4SD.

EVERYONE WELCOME. CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT, FOOD AND DRINK FROM 1pm to 3pm
