Fire engines from Kendal, Staveley, Arnside and a water bowser and support pump from Grange have attended a fire at Milnthorpe.
Fire crews were called at 1:57pm yesterday, Wednesday 2 October.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The fire involved one flat bed wagon in an outbuilding measuring approximately 10 metres x 15 metres.
“The outbuilding also contained hay causing the fire to spread to the roof.
“Fire crews used four breathing apparatus and three compressed air foam jets.
“Crews were detained for approximately three hours.”
