A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 64-year-old woman from Keswick last month.
Katrina Fletcher, 64, of St Kentigern Close was found at her home address with serious head injuries by North West Ambulance Service at around 11.15pm on Wednesday, 11 September, 2019.
She was taken to Cumberland Infirmary but has since died.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Patrick Webster, 62, of St Kentigern Close, was arrested on the night of 11 September and was charged on 13 September with grievous bodily harm with intent. He appeared at West Allerdale Magistrates’ Court on 13 September.
“Following the death of Katrina Fletcher, Webster has now been charged with murder.
“His next court appearance is due to be at Workington Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 11 October 2019.”
