Home buyers in Kendal can enjoy life on three levels following the latest release of new-build townhouses.

Jones Homes is building a range of three-storey semi-detached houses at its Stonecross Meadows development off Milnthorpe Road.

The first five Richmond houses have already been snapped up by buyers, and two more properties of this type are now available to help meet the demand for high-quality family homes in the area.

With living accommodation on the middle floor, the four-bedroom Richmond townhouses at Stonecross Meadows are well placed to make the most of stunning views of the picturesque countryside on the edge of the Lake District, as well as offering space and flexibility for family life.

Carol Barlow, Sales Director for Jones Homes Lancashire, said townhouse living has been growing in popularity with buyers looking to get more space for their money.

She said: “Our townhouses have been carefully designed to meet the needs of modern living, offering flexibility for people as their families grow.

“This particular design incorporates the main living space on the middle floor, taking advantage of the natural slope of the site to feature French doors leading to the rear garden from the kitchen, with a Juliet balcony to the living/dining room at the front offering exceptional views.

“On the top floor there are three bedrooms, including the master bedroom with an en suite shower room, while the ground floor has a study that’s ideal for working from home or using as a fourth bedroom, plus a laundry room, a guest cloakroom and an integral garage.

“It’s no surprise that the first five Richmond plots we’ve released for sale have already been reserved, and we are expecting demand for the latest releases to be just as high. I would therefore encourage anyone interested in purchasing one of these new-build townhouses to get in touch before it’s too late.”

The Government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available at Stonecross Meadows. It enables people to buy a new home worth up to £600,000 with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided as an equity loan which is interest-free for five years.

The scheme, which is available to everyone looking to move onto or up the property ladder, is due to come to an end in 2021.  After 2021, only first-time buyers will be able to take advantage of the initiative.

The two Richmond style townhouses currently available are priced from £299.995.
