Leading UK holiday park operator, Haven, is excited to announce that its Lakeland holiday park in Flookburgh will play a major role in the company’s key developments for summer 2020.

The market leading holiday company, which welcomed almost 3 million holidaymakers to its parks across the UK in 2019, will be investing millions across multiple sites in England, Scotland and Wales over the winter period.

The new state-of-the-art entertainment venue will replace the Live Lounge that currently exists on the park and will provide a multi-functional and flexible space for both daytime and night-time activities. Offering the perfect atmosphere for good drinks, with good company, the venue will host everything from sports and special events, to live music and classic party dances.

The updated facilities will see a brand-new events arena and the latest giant screens. For those feeling peckish, the venue will incorporate a high-quality pizza kitchen serving up the very best Papa John’s®, as well as an all-new Cook’s Fish and Chips container for all seaside classics.

The development forms part of the brand’s wider plan to create a vision for Haven of the future, leaving guests with memories that last a lifetime.

Colin Archibald, Operations Director for Lakeland Holiday Park, said: “We’re very excited to announce that in summer 2020 Lakeland holidaymakers and holiday homeowners will get to experience our all-new state-of-the-art entertainment venue. We are currently entering a further trial stage for the facilities we can offer our guests and we are confident they will love the latest addition.”

Gerard Tempest, Guest and Proposition Director at Haven, said: “We are continuing to develop the range of concepts that we first introduced in 2019, taking into consideration the feedback we have received from guests, ensuring they remain at the centre of everything we do. As a result of this, as we move into 2020 we are continuing to trial some concepts, testing new ideas and rolling out products that we have finessed.”

In addition to Lakeland, Haven has selected a further five holiday parks to undergo concept trials. Additional sites including Craig Tara (Ayr), Greenacres (Porthmadog), Golden Sands (Mablethorpe) and Caister & Seashore (Great Yarmouth), with plans to open all developments by summer 2020.
