A local animal charity is holding its annual Christmas Fair this Saturday, 23rd November, from 11.00am to 4.00pm, where they will welcome the festive season in Oak Tree style!

This year it will be bigger than ever with plenty of opportunity to do some cheerful Christmas shopping, with over 35 craft and gift stalls! There will also be lots of festive games and activities in both the heated marquee and Orchard Yard.

Mieke Tennant, Events Coordinator said “we have been inundated with stall bookings and are excited to see the extensive range of produce on offer. Santa’s Grotto is ready and waiting, delicious cakes are being baked, activities prepared, areas decorated and the spirit of Christmas has definitely arrived at Oak Tree Farm – there is a truly positive festive sparkle in the air!”

Local vets, together with Oak Tree’s Community Team, will be on hand to provide you with tips and advice to keep your pets healthy and safe during the winter months.

Take a visit to Orchard Yard for more stalls and lots of children’s activities, Oak Tree shops, food and drink, and of course, don’t forget to visit Father Christmas in Santa’s Grotto.

The famous Oak Tree Cake Stall will be located next to the Tearoom, where food and drinks will be served all through the day.

Last but not least – don’t forget to buy some Grand Draw tickets! The Draw will take place around 3.00pm and the Star Prize is an amazing One Night Escape Break for two at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa. Check out the other amazing prizes and be in with a chance!

Every single pound raised at this event will go towards supporting local animals in need. So go on, embrace the upcoming Christmas season, bring along your family and friends and enjoy a fabulous day out at Wetheral Shields! To get a feel for all the amazing giftware on sale, head to the ‘What’s On’ section at Oak Tree’s website: www.oaktreeanimals.org.uk
