Family-owned housebuilder Story Homes has announced it continues to focus on expansion across the North West, investing in both its future land supply and its staff.

The company’s North West division has strengthened its regional management team with the appointment of key roles. Whilst several senior team members have been promoted, Story Homes has welcomed a number of new colleagues into the business – particularly in the Commercial team.

Paul Fleet, who has taken the helm as Regional Managing Director, based in Chorley, oversees projects across the Lancashire, South Cumbria, Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside. Paul has a long and established career with the house builder with over 19 years working in a variety of roles. He was previously Group Land Director overseeing land and planning across the group, before being promoted to regional managing director.

Paul is looking forward to building on Story Homes’ success and growing its development portfolio across the region. He will work with the senior management team across the North West directing their operations and driving forward the company’s strategic plans to ensure ongoing supply of new developments.

Joining Paul’s team is Commercial Director John Lee and a team of quantity surveyors, estimators and buyers. The team have been appointed to provide commercial support to all the stages of its development process, improve efficiency and subcontractor performance. John and his team bring a vast experience in the construction industry with successful careers at some of the UK’s biggest housebuilders.

Supporting Paul and the ambitious growth plans of the company are Land and Planning Director Adam Galleymore and Strategic Land and Planning Director John Winstanley. Their focus is on bringing forward new land opportunities that deliver value to landowners, local authorities, communities and home buyers.

Paul Fleet, Managing Director for Story Homes in the North West, said: “This is a really exciting time for the region, and I am proud to be heading up a strong management team who are delivering an ambitious development and business plan. This year is set to be an extremely positive one for Story Homes as we expand further into Cheshire, Manchester and Merseyside with land opportunities in the pipeline.”

Story Homes has had a successful start to the financial year with three developments launched across Lancashire in the last couple of months, which will deliver a total of 393 new homes across Kirkham, Lancaster and Grimsargh, as well as a number of planning applications in the pipeline across the region.

The new sites in Lancashire will see Story Homes continue toward its target of delivering 1,000 homes across its operations in Cumbria, South Scotland, Newcastle and the North West.

Paul continued: “To achieve our business goals, it is really important that we have the right people in the right roles.  We currently have nine developments across the North West and South Cumbria. Our latest three developments that recently launched really secures our position in Lancashire.”

“Despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Brexit, we remain confident there will be a strong demand in the market for the high quality new homes we build. We will continue to focus on our expansion in the region and investing in the future land supply across the North West.

“All of this makes my job very rewarding as we create quality homes in the right location”.

The Story Homes team are looking for land opportunities across the North West, with or without planning permission. For more information, please email [email protected] or call 01257 443250 to discuss potential opportunities.
