A LEADING opticians in Workington town centre has celebrated 25 years in the heart of the town with a £60,000 rebrand.

The store’s long-serving team provide customers with state-of-the-art ophthalmic and hearing care, as well as contact lens clinics.

Specsavers on Murray Road has been refreshed with new paintwork and carpets, in order to accommodate customers more comfortably.

To mark the occasion, the store has pledged its support to Blind Veterans UK, which helps ex-Service men and women of every generation overcome sight loss.

The store also works in partnership with the Cumberland FA to offer discounted sports goggles to junior football players, which also runs at Penrith, Carlisle and Whitehaven.

Opthalmic director Ian Hollinshead said: “We would like to thank our customers for their continued support over the years.

“We are committed to providing the best care possible for our clients here in Workington and improving our store facilities will help us do that.

“Here’s to another 25 years!”
