A JURY in the trial of a woman who denies being responsible for a Carlisle city centre attack has been discharged.
Georgia Gray, 22, had pleaded not guilty to one charge.
This alleges that she assaulted Abby Tolson, causing her actual bodily harm, and arises out of an incident outside the Griffin pub, Court Square, at around 4-45am on December 16 last year.
Gray, of Spencer Street, Carlisle, went on trial at the city’s crown court, where jurors in the case began hearing evidence earlier today (THURS).
However, late this afternoon Judge Julie Clemitson discharged the jury from reaching a verdict in the case for legal reasons.
A new trial is due to take place on a date to be fixed.
