Police are investigating an assault that occurred in the early hours of Sunday 19th January in the area of Whinfell Drive on the Sandylands Estate in Kendal.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 22-year-old man received a stab wound to his back whilst walking from the direction of the Town Centre, he was treated by paramedics but did not attend hospital.”
