Police appeal after woman grabbed on Carlisle street

Police are investigating an incident which occurred on Tuesday 4 February 2020 at approximately 00.15am on Harvey Street, Carlisle, where two unknown men have followed a woman in her 40s. One of the men have grabbed her by her rucksack and then pushed her.

The victim took her phone out and contacted her partner and at this point the men left the area walking towards Newtown Road, Carlisle.

The victim did not suffered any injuries as a result of the incident. However, the intentions of the men are not known.

The men were described as:

  1. Middle eastern man, with a black beard, aged 25-35yrs, 5ft 8ins tall, slim build, wearing dark hoody under a black jacket, black jeans.
  2. Middle eastern man, no beard aged, 25-35yrs, 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, wearing dark hoody under a black jacket, black pants.

Anyone with information should call PC 2759 BLAGA on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
