A man has been arrested after police were called to reports of a man seen in possession of axe on Bank Street, Carlisle.
Officers were called at around 1:50pm today (Feb 25).
Police confirmed taser-authorised officers attended the scene but a taser was not used.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 30-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested on suspicion of affray and is currently in police custody.
“Nobody was harmed in the incident.
“Officers recovered an axe at the scene.
“Anyone with information on this incident who has yet to come forward is urged to do so.”
