
Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following an incident in Carlisle.
Emergency services were called to 39 Whinsmoor Drive in the city on May 30 at around 11.15am.
It had been reported that a man had suffered a serious head injury.
A man in his 40s was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
The man was pronounced dead yesterday, Tuesday June 2.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of a number of offences, including murder and grievous bodily harm.
Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.
Two were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and have since been bailed.
Police enquiries are still ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information relating to it in the hours and days leading up to it between the evening of May 28 and the morning of May 30, is urged to come forward.
Police would particularly like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the areas of Whinsmoor Drive and Central Avenue, Carlisle.
