Chris Clement, Commercial Director & Paul Graham, Managing Director

H&H Insurance Brokers, one of the UK’s leading rural insurance brokers, has announced the appointment of Chris Clement, to the position of Commercial Director.  This comes at a time of continued growth of services and client reach for the company.

With over 30 years in the business, and its foundations deeply rooted in rural communities, H&H Insurance Brokers offers independent advice on all aspects of rural and agricultural insurances across the North of England, Scottish Borders, North Wales and Cheshire.   It also has a dedicated claims department to ensure that if the worst happens, clients can rest assured that they are fully supported.

Darlington-based Chris, has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, including extensive knowledge of the rural sector.  He started as a junior in an insurance brokers in Darlington and has worked his way up. Latterly, he was Account Executive for McClarrons Ltd, an independent insurance broker in Yorkshire and prior to this, built up a highly successful insurance career working in strategic roles for Swinton and NFU Mutual.
Thanks to his extensive background, Chris will be responsible for developing H&H Insurance Broker’s products and services to the wider agricultural industries, as well as further increasing its existing non-agri commercial offer.  There will be a key focus on all things property and businesses working within the rural environments; this could be as diverse a mix as a B&B in a rural community to a tractor dealership, or a forestry business to a haulage contractor.

This new position within the team is a strategic one to ensure that the business remains future-focussed and able to respond to the changing needs of the industry and clients.  Chris will work closely with Managing Director, Paul Graham to ensure further growth and development of niche markets.

On accepting the role Chris said: “I am thrilled to be taking up this exciting opportunity to work for such a progressive insurance brokerage. I have known H&H Insurance Brokers for a number of years, it is a dynamic organisation with a strong brand and is well respected within the industry and is also known for having excellent relationships with its clients.

“My aims going forward are to grow the rural commercial side of the business, look at new services and expand our geographical reach in the North, to North Yorkshire, County Durham and the Tees Valley.  Of key importance to me is to work with the team to remain incredibly client focussed and continue to offer a second-to-none insurance support service to clients.”

If any evidence was needed to underpin this pledge and the business’ reputation in the industry, it was recently awarded the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service award, an independent seal of excellence that recognises businesses for delivering exceptional experiences, as rated by real clients.

In response to Chris’ appointment, Paul Graham, Managing Director for H&H Insurance Brokers said:

“I’m delighted that Chris has agreed to join the team as Commercial Director, his knowledge of, and enthusiasm for the area and the industry, will be an asset to our growing team and portfolio.  It is a key role for our company, which will continue to strengthen our presence and further expand our services.”

In making this appointment, H&H Insurance Brokers is demonstrating its continued commitment to growth and strengthening its vision to be ‘the insurance broker for rural and agricultural businesses’.
