Genesis Homes has successfully gained planning permission for a new flagship housing development at Rheda Park, near Whitehaven.

‘Beckstones’, as the development will be known, is Genesis Homes’ sixth development and comprises of 55-homes, a mix of 3, 4 and 5-bedroom properties, including 19 bungalows in a mix of 2 and 3 bedrooms. The Penrith-based house builder is well known for its low density schemes, located in desirable areas, and Rheda Park is no exception, offering views of the Lakeland Fells and set in a lovely, parkland area. The ideal location of Beckstones allows easy access to local amenities, transport routes and services.

Genesis Homes’ Land Director, John Blue commented “We are delighted to receive approval to build new homes at Rheda Park. This is certainly a ‘one off’ scheme and will produce a very scenic development with a stylish mix of property types. Whilst providing much needed, well-designed, quality housing in an accessible location, the scheme will also be a major boost for the local economy, generating new jobs and supporting the local supply chain. We’ll be releasing homes for sale in the summer, but we’d encourage interested parties to register their interest via our website now to receive priority information”.

The scheme will incorporate Genesis Homes’ signature housetypes, providing a wide selection of homes for a range of buyers, all less than two miles from local services. Work is set to commence on the development in the next couple of months with a show home following in the summer. The homes at Beckstones will feature Genesis Homes’ high specification that is already popular with homebuyers on their other schemes in Cockermouth, Wigton and Carlisle.
