Grasmere ‘bistro with beds’ launches ready meal delivery service

The Yan at Broadrayne in Grasmere has launched a local ready meal delivery service in reaction to the latest government announcements about the coronavirus outbreak. The team has put together a small menu of some of its most loved dishes that will be prepared on-site by Executive Chef, Will Manley, but will be designed to be heated at home. All the dishes will come in disposable, metal containers with heating instructions.

The hope is that this service will give elderly people in the area who have been advised to stay indoors and others who are having to self-isolate, or who are social distancing, easy access to some hearty food. All payments can be made over the phone and The Yan be able to leave deliveries outside your door to ensure no human contact is made. By creating ready meals, The Yan can offer 10% off its usual dish prices, which it hopes will help people financially.

Orders can be made the day before delivery by calling 015394 35055.

The delivery service will be starting from Friday 20th March until further notice, with delivery available from 6pm-8pm every day.

The Hare & Hounds team is also calling on anyone in the general area who would like to help with volunteer driver positions which would help them to extend the service further and faster.
