Pure Lakes Skincare launches 65% alcohol sanitiser in signature Grapefruit & Lemongrass blend

Lake District-based skincare product business Pure Lakes has launched a new anti-microbial and anti-bacterial, 65% alcohol hand sanitiser – and is donating free bottles to local care homes in Cumbria.

The Pure Lakes hand sanitiser is not only effective but has a beautiful smell thanks to its Grapefruit & Lemongrass essential oils, as well as Aloe Vera & Glycerin to help combat the drying effect of alcohol.

The product, which is available in 50ml, 100ml and 250ml sizes, is also sustainable thanks to its bottles being made from sugar and fully recyclable. Many of the bottles are also re-used hotel amenity containers.

The launch of the sanitiser is the second time in recent weeks that Pure Lakes has stepped-in to play a role in helping people during the Coronavirus pandemic, after tins of soothing hand balm were donated to frontline NHS staff earlier this month. Furthermore, extra complimentary hand balm tins are being donated for every order placed at www.purelakes.co.uk.

The Hydrating Hand Balm won best in class in the 2019 Shortlist Beauty Awards and in just three weeks Pure Lakes has sent out nearly 300 full-size hand balms to frontline NHS workers including many working in Cumbria.

They are also offering a 20% discount to anyone on the frontline including the NHS, supermarkets, schools and all who are all working to keep the country safe and moving.

The business hopes the balm can be put to good use by health service staff, whose hard-working hands may be suffering as a result of the unprecedented, longer hours they are working to help sufferers of the virus.

And already the business has been touched by lovely feedback from NHS workers. NHS Doctor Ellie Worthington says, “Thank you so much for the amazing gift of a box of such beautiful creams that are also full of human kindness, the kindest gift for these tired old NHS hands.”

Gareth and Claire McKeever

Pure Lakes Director Claire McKeever, says; “We are all affected by this awful virus and we are so glad to be able, with the support of our customers, to do our small part for our amazing NHS. We’re also offering all NHS and frontline workers 20% off all products in our online store and have set up a code NHS20 for them to use at checkout.”

Products can be ordered at www.purelakes.co.uk or by calling 015398 22999.
