Police name biker killed in Morecambe crash

A man who died following a collision in Morecambe yesterday (Saturday, May 2nd) has been named.

Mark Knowler, 34, from Morecambe sadly lost his life after the Kawasaki motocross bike he was travelling on was involved in a collision with a Kia Rio at the junction of Westminster Road and Devonshire Road at around 3:05pm.

Mark’s family have paid the following tribute to him: “Mark was a loving son, dad and uncle, who will be sadly missed. We would like to thank all that have taken the time to pay tribute to him.”

Sgt Martin Wilcock said: “Our thoughts very much remain with Mark’s family and friends.

“I am continuing to ask anyone who witnessed the collision to speak to us [Lancashire Police] as soon as possible. If you think you saw or know what happened, please get in contact with us on 101 quoting incident reference 739 of May 2nd.”
