The Energy Coast UTC is absolutely delighted to announce they have just received final approval for a suite of six fully equipped new engineering and civil engineering workshops and CAD / CAM facilities on the UTC site.

The new build, and modifications to some of the existing building will mean students have access to even more superb, industry standard, world class facilities on the UTC site.

The Energy Coast UTC Principal Cherry Tingle said: “I am so pleased that all the hard work of UTC staff, students and employer partners – as well as the DfE – has paid off and students on the west coast of Cumbria will have access to these superb facilities at the UTC.

“It is a difficult time for everyone at the moment but, as we move forward, we will desperately need people with skills in engineering and civil engineering, as well as an excellent academic education and we now have something really great to look forward to. This is really good news for the area and, coming on top of our recent Ofsted Outstanding judgement, is a real boost for west Cumbria.”
