H&H Reeds widens portfolio through acquisition of Pedigree Farmer, specialist website design for farmers and agri-businesses
Allan Bewley owner of the Pedigree Farmer brand, and now Web and Digital Services Director for H&H Reeds

A new pedigree of website design is on offer through multi award-winning print, design and graphic media company, H&H Reeds, part of H&H Group. This is as a result of the acquisition of Cockermouth-based web development company, Dotcom Associates, which encompasses the Pedigree Farmer brand, developers of websites for the leading pedigree breed societies and livestock representatives in the UK.

Pedigree Farmer has carved out a niche digital services offering over the years and built up an impressive portfolio of clients. The brand has a reputation for creating high impact websites for the farming and agricultural community and has a prestigious client list including a long list of rural businesses and membership organisations including the National Sheep and National Beef Association, SCOPS, Grassroots Pedigree Software Solutions, Livestock Auctioneers Club, British Cattle Breeders Club, Marshalls Farm Machinery and Beef Expo.

Established over 11 years ago, Dotcom Associates, like H&H Reeds, has grown its UK-wide customers based on its reputation for excellent service. The company is now well placed to help rural businesses achieve their full marketing potential with innovative creative solutions for branding, graphic design, web, print, signage and display. Commenting on the new partnership, Allan Bewley, creator of the Pedigree Farmer brand, and now Web and Digital Services Director for H&H Reeds, commented:

“Over the years, we’ve helped a wide range of agri-businesses and organisations to showcase and sell their products and services with innovative websites that get results. Understanding specific areas of farming is very important to ensure that we get the right message across, each client has very individual needs so there is no doubt that the combined skillsets resulting from this merger presents a new and exciting opportunity to provide a full creative agency service to the farming community.”

As well as H&H Reeds, H&H Group encompasses its own rural property business H&H Land & Estates, specialist rural insurance providers H&H Insurance Brokers and livestock auctioneering division Harrison & Hetherington, and has worked alongside Pedigree Farmer for many years to delivery specialist services for agri-businesses. Culturally, the merger has many synergies as both businesses overlap sectors as well as customers and this acquisition will expand H&H Reeds portfolio significantly, as Andy Jackson, Managing Director for H&H Reeds explained:

“Pedigree Farmer’s knowledge of the wider farming sector and life is second-to none, and they have delivered many high-profile online solutions to a wide range of customers in the agricultural industry.

“This partnership is the latest chapter in our ongoing evolution and growth plans to be a one-stop-shop for highly creative print and digital services for farmers and rural businesses.”

The vision moving forward for H & H Reeds is to be anything but an off-the-shelf provider, but instead provide farming customers with a multi-faceted, bespoke, end-to-end service, resulting in a much better customer experience all round.
