Salterbeck man remanded in custody

A West Cumbria man charged with a string of offences has appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court today (MON).

There are nine-separate-offences including dangerous driving; possession of class A drugs and driving while disqualified.

Marc Mciver, appeared from custody, the allegations are he had possession of class A drugs; possession with intent to supply class C drugs; dangerous driving; two-allegations of theft from a vehicle; going equipped for burglary; driving with no insurance; disqualified driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs.

Mcivor aged 31, gave his address as Hilary Close, Salterback, Workington.

All the allegations relate to June 18 and 19 at Workington, the court heard he is accused of having 728 tablets of the class C drug Diazepam and possession of a quantity of class A drug heroin, the driving while disqualified took place on Harrington Road, Workington,  an allegation of theft of a Vauxhall Corsa and car a number plate, he is also accused of going equipment for burglary and driving whilst unfit through drink also an accusation of having no car insurance.  The dangerous driving allegation is driving a Vauxhall Corsa car dangerously around streets in Workington at speed and driving away from police.

Magistrates remanded McIvor in custody to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on July 20.
